Rock and Roll Map of New York

A few years ago I visited New York for the first time.

Woweeee! A real subway!
That is all. I'm just braggin'.
Walking around, trying to not look like tourists.
No, not really, there is more to this post. Being a bit of a book nerd and an avid music lover I decided to compile a list of all the places in New York (And some in LA too) that have played a significant role in the history of rock and roll so I could roll about in front of them, bathe in the grit and street dirt and hopefully soak up some of the majesty.

Central Park, near Strawberry Fields
I made a map in Google Maps, thoughtfully including a few words on what happened at each site to garner its inclusion in the list, and then got waaaaaaaaay too drunk to see half of them. It was waaaaaaay colder than any place I had ever been and I drank for warmth- yeah, that sounds good. Lets go with that.

On the way back from seeing Ms Liberty.
I am delighted at what I did see, and am equally delighted to share the map with you (but only if you promise to not get so wasted that you too miss out on seeing half of it)- just follow the link below...

I know this isn't baby or parenting related, but it is pretty frikken awesome.

Natural History Museum was a riot
