Belgium street artist Bue the Warrior is best known for crazy, bright, cheerful and whimsical creatures. Check out the picture below without wanting to either put them in your mouth or give them a huge squeezy hug...
While hailing from Belgium, Bue is a global citizen- his work can be found in Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, New York City and Los Angeles. For us suckers in the southern hemisphere seeing a Bue in real life involves about 24 hours on a plane (and a huge personal loan to pay for the trip). I'm sure I'd get a kick out of seeing the work in real life but part of me has my doubts about the costs involved, so I went searching for other ways to get a good old Bue hit.
I found some cool stuff: back in 2009 Bue the Warrior released a selection of plush toys and tees in colaboration with Toykyo- some of the items are still available on the site as reprints.
Bue has also made a kids colouring book app for iPhone and iPad. It's called Hey Hey Colors and looks super fun!!
